Hair, makeup, the perfect dress, flowers, shoes, and even nailed the perfect fragrance to wear. What’s left? Capturing it all! Through my 6 years of shooting wedding photography full-time, bridal portraits has always been one of my favorite parts of the wedding day to capture. Being able to capture a stunning bride moments before she marries her imperfectly perfect man are priceless moments to me.
Many brides love to start the day with Robe shots, sometimes called pre-bridal portraits. This is the perfect time to capture moments of the bride in a beautiful bridal robe set before they actually get dressed in their wedding dress as well as the final moments before she exits the makeup and hair chair. I always say, take full advantage of wedding photography and videography. Capture as many moments as possible.
After robe shots is the amazing moments in the bride’s dress. We typically capture these photos before the ceremony or First Look if time allows. If not, we definitely make sure to capture them after the ceremony during the couple portraits. Either way, the results are always stunning.
Some bride’s have a second dress they like to change into during the reception. I also take a few minutes to capture them in this outfit as well before they go back to enjoy time with their loved ones at the reception.
