Rajean & Rashad had a beautiful intimate wedding in the heart of Atlanta, Georgia this past April. This was a special wedding for me for a few reasons: Rashad and I are college buddies. Also, Rajean and Rashad was the first couple I ever shot when I moved back to South Florida upon graduating college. So once I received their inquiry years later it really warmed my heart.
We started the day at The Starling Atlanta Midtown which is an upscale collection hotel by Hilton. Plenty brides opt for a white robe but not Rajean. She chose an animal print set that perfectly described her laidback personality. Rashad was the true definition of dapper with his suit from The Black Tux. A few of Rashad’s favorite men joined him in his hotel room, including his younger brother and grandfather.
For Ceremony, we made our way to the Atlanta Botanical Garden where you could truly see the intentionality behind the guest list. There were no more than 50 guests including the officiant. There was a small section at the garden blocked off exclusively for the wedding. After ceremony, the guests headed to the next location while Rajean, Rashad, and myself hung back to capture couple and family portraits at the garden.
Instead of a huge reception party, the couple opted for an intimate reception dinner at Del Frisco’s. They rented out a decent sized room on the second floor overlooking the rest of the restaurant. Check out the wedding captures below.
